Earlier this month, the EPR team took a trip to Sonoma County for a day of wine tasting and good food. The trip was an all day event and included stops at three wineries along the way. We also stopped off for a delicious meal at El Dorado Kitchen in downtown Sonoma.
Our first stop was at a small winery...,
Bouchaine Vineyards, just south of the San Pablo Bay. This winery is the oldest continually operated winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley and specializes in Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Then it was off to the second spot, Chateau St. Jean, Sonoma’s first champion of single vineyard designated wines. By this time, the sun was shining and we enjoyed several tastings on the back patio overlooking the vines. Our last spot brought us to Imagery Estate Winery, founded by Joe Benziger of Benziger Family Winery in the early 1980’s. At this winery we were able to try different flavors and mixtures of grapes.
The day was a lot of fun and we’re hoping to make it an annual event. Thanks to all the vineyards for sharing their tasty wines with us. And, if you’re reading this blog post – check these wineries out. It’s definitely worth a day trip to Sonoma. For sure!
