It took me some time to get started on it - but yes, I have entered the world of Twitter .
Now I must say that I am pretty well versed in the social media world. I've had a FaceBook account since college, started a MySpace page shortly thereafter, and once I hit the professional world I moved on to LinkedIn. So I guess you could say that I can be reached several different ways. But until now, I had held out on Twitter. I had several reasons for making that decision - most of which are outlined below.
- My life isn't that interesting
- I really don't think my life is that interesting
- I was afraid I'd have nobody following me - because my life (once again) is not that interesting.
Truth be told…I am getting into it. The world of Twitter is huge! I have several people to follow, and a handful are following me. I am trying my very best to make my Twittering exciting and jam-packed; however, I can only do so much. This is going to be somewhat of an experiment. I want to become an expert in Twitter so that I can share my insights with my clients. I am forecasting something very big for Twitter - I see it taking off and becoming a very valuable tool, especially for PR.
